The new SL3 is the latest evolution of this incredible cycling machine. Its predecessor, the XE-1, is lots of fun but is a bit tricky to re-start once you come to a halt or fall off! With some practice you'll master the deep water start on an XE-1 but on an SL3 it's much quicker... The bike will float vertically and you can in effect twist-and-go without the need to pedal. Most 16+ year olds should be able to master the technique within half an hour or so.

Will I be able to ride it?
- If you're 16 or over and can ride a bike or swim, you should have no trouble riding a hydrofoil bike
Is it difficult to ride?
The new SL3 model has an "easy-start" system and floats vertically, so even if you stop or fall off the bike remains vertical and is very simple to get going again. The XE-1 takes more practice.
Will it fit in my car?
The Manta5 SL3 breaks down into 5 smaller modules that fit in any vehicle with the seat folded down or in the boot space of larger SUV vehicles.
